With the Grand Opening of paintballblogger.com, we wanted to start off with a bang by talking about girls being involved in the sport of paintball.

If you happen to think that paintball is a game that is only meant for the guys, then you are mistaken.  There are actually a lot of girls who also enjoy playing the game.  These girls are beginning to make their presence known throughout the world of paintball.  In fact, recently there has also been an all girl team in every major paintball tournament.  Some of the women on these teams are actually truly exceptional players, even though you may see them as being “just girls.”

There are even some people who believe that women are better suited for playing paintball and that they actually have an advantage over the men who play.  One reason why this is said is that women are usually smaller, which makes them harder to hit and easier for them to hide.  Another reason is that women are usually much more patient than men and thus they will not have any problems waiting for an opponent to out himself.  The final reason that is oftentimes mentioned is that women tend to bond quicker and better than men and this allows them to work together better as a team.

It is important to understand though that women do not like to have to play on all girl teams all of the time.  Instead, they are eager to compete against men as well.  Nevertheless, all girl paintball teams have been known to take down a lot of the all male paintball teams.  This just shows how tough and strong these all girl teams are.  It also shows that these women are willing to overcome numerous obstacles in order to be able to compete in tournaments. So, while paintball girls may look meek and even fragile, their appearances are actually very misleading and something that they are actually able to use this to their advantage.  This is beneficial to them as the majority of paintball girls are very serious about this sport, which is yet another reason why they are very good at it.

So, as you can clearly see, whenever it comes to playing paintball, women really are not any different than the men who play the sport.  Everyone starts out with some sort of hesitation about being shot at and suffering the pain of being hit.  Of course, you are right about being hesitant here since getting hit by a paintball can be very painful.  However, once the game gets underway and the adrenaline begins to kick in, there are some paintball girls who simply get hooked on the sport.  There is nothing wrong with this though since paintball really is a very exciting, competitive and fun game to play.

And now you know why paintball is not just a sport for the guys anymore.
